Global tablet shipments show signs of recovery in the first quarter of 2024:

1. Apple's performance was slightly sluggish last year, down 8.5% year-on-year, due to the economic downturn and lack of new models. The company is focused on clearing out inventory of older models before the expected launch of new models in the second quarter of this year. In the first quarter of 2024, Apple ranked first with 9.9 million units shipped.

Samsung ranked second with 6.7 million units shipped in the quarter, down 5.8% from the same period last year. Promotions from competing brands in Europe and Asia Pacific and a lack of new products hampered Samsung's growth. However, the company is working to improve user experience by adding artificial intelligence features to its latest products and focusing on high-end products to capture this year's replacement cycle.
